What is VTS (VehicleTrackingSystem)?
A solution using Wireless technology to track a vehicle at any given time with a combination of GPS/GPRS based electronic device mounted in the vehicle with a software user interface provided at the user end. -
How It Works
- Step 1

The vehicle position is provided by the GPS Satellite System to the Agogue’s SmartTrack VTS unit fitted in the vehicle. The SmartTrack Unit communicates this information to the Agogue’s online VTS Server. -
Step 2

Local Telecom or GSM based ISP’s High speed data network manages the communication between the vehicle and Agogue’s Server via the Internet. Two ways text messaging is also sent in the same manner. -
Step 3

The Internet provides the means of transferring the vehicle information to and from the customers' office computer. Office computers display the vehicle information in real time, using Agogue’s VTS software.

Is it difficult to use the tracking system?
No, it's very easy to use the Agogue’s Vehicle Tracking software and there can be a Vehicle Tracking training plan put in place for your staff as the software is designed to be user friendly. -
How Does GPS Work?
GPS stands for Global Positioning System. The GPS receiver in the unit installed in the vehicle has an antenna that receives signals from a constellation of GPS satellites. Using the timing of signal reception from multiple satellites, the receiver calculates its own position, speed and elevation. GPS satellite signals are transmitted free of charge by the U.S. Government. GPS receivers come in all shapes and sizes suitable for boating, wilderness hiking and other outdoor activities. Our solution combines a GPS receiver with a wireless modem. The radio transmits GPS-calculated positions back over a wireless network. Location and course data is then uploaded to the Vehicle Tracking Direct web site or on your desktop depending on system used. Authorized users monitor vehicle movement on maps and reports displaying route information, stop location/ duration and other valuable information. -
Is the Vehicle Tracking Web solution appropriate for any size of fleets?
Yes. Vehicle Tracking Web service requires no up-front investment in servers or software, so the service is equally cost-effective for one to one million! -
Is Vehicle Tracking Web Service map and report information real-time?
Almost, at all times. The in-vehicle unit transmits the GPS position data to the servers, which in turn updates your web pages. Updates are transmitted at standard intervals. This provides timely location updates, while avoiding the data-overload problems that come with continuous position updates. The web site maps display asset position as updates are received. The settings for how often the maps update can be predetermined and controlled based on the explicit requirement of the business. Thus, depending on how frequently the maps are updated which in turn also depends on when the vehicle reports were last received - location data can be virtually real-time! -
What hardware and/or software do I need to use my Vehicle Tracking Direct Web solution?
The hardware consists of a small hardware unit installed in each mobile or fixed asset you want to track. Negligible power - drawn from the vehicle's own electrical system - is used. The hardware unit includes an integrated GPS receiver, plus a wireless data radio connected to a cellular antenna. Software is a secure suite of web pages, that we provide, accessible to authorized users only, available on any PC running Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later. No other hardware or software is required. -
Why should I consider the Vehicle Tracking solution? How do I benefit by using it?
Benefits include improved customer service, increased productivity through better scheduling and planning, as well as enhanced driver safety and asset protection. The same can also be efficiently used for HR and maintenance purposes as well. -
Will the installation require permanent alterations to the vehicle?
Our VTS unit is the most common of our tracking system hardware and is predominantly installed in cars, vans and trucks. The VTS installation will not require any damage to the body of the vehicle and the antenna is fixed internally to the windscreen. On some trucks and vans a roof mounted antenna is recommended it needs to be mounted on the top of the vehicle. However in any of the cases no major alterations are required. -

How can I become Agogue’s business partner?
It is a fervently cherished dream of ours to welcome to the family of Agogue, individuals/companies who wish to provide a better, safer, knowledgeable and secure environment to the assets of their clients and to that effect have a unique Independent Business Partner in Progress (IBPiP) program. Enlisting for the IBPiP program is very simple and requires basic technical knowledge, an ideally located office space and a good marketing network. -
Advantages to our Individual Business Partners in Progress (IBPiP’s)?
Believing in sharing the rewards with our family members has been and is the first and foremost objective of Agogue resulting in us being represented in a host of countries around the world and our IBPiP’s stand to earn a healthy share in the income generated through their efforts. Not limiting the generation of income to the sale of the VTS units only, we also share the income generated through the collection of the monthly recurring charges as an incentive to ensure efficient after sales service to the clients. -
Do IBPiP’s need to have their own technical team?
Not necessarily as the same can be provided by us with complete support. However considering the proximity of the IBPiP’s with their clients it is advised to have a basic skeleton crew to take care of any minor issues if and when they arise for which a proper in house training of the staff can be conducted thereby aiding in the implementation of the units resulting in the implementation charges accruing to the IBPiP’s account. -
Do IBPiP’s need a warehouse?
Yes, though the same need not be a huge place. We encourage the concept so that they maintain a stock of a minimum of 100 pieces to be immediately installed on to vehicles upon receipt of orders thus exhibiting an effective way of providing solutions to the clients and with a minimum or no turnaround time. It is also advised to procure SIM cards in advance for immediate activation of the system on installation. -
Is it possible to integrate other applications with the VTS?
Yes it is possible to integrate various other applications with the VTS based on the business demands for which a full-fledged team of hardware/software professionals are employed by Agogue. Some of the integrations carried out thus far are:
a/ Taximeter with receipt printer.
b/ Temperature sensors for reefer vehicles transporting vaccines, perishable goods etc.
c/ Sensors to curtail malpractices as required.
d/ RF-ID for schools, colleges, factories etc.
e/ Closed Circuit TV integration is also possible to avert any untoward incidences. -
Can the unit once installed in a vehicle be transferred to another vehicle should the need arise?
Yes in case of sale of the vehicle or transfer the unit can be removed and installed in any other vehicle as may be required. -

Can the vehicle be immobilized?
Immobilization of the vehicle is an integral part of our VTS as it is a means of providing security of the mobile asset. However, the same is possible for small cars only and not for Heavy Goods Vehicles. Furthermore the best feature of this system is that the same can be executed remotely. -
Can the VTS help in limiting the movement of the vehicle?
The VTS designed and developed by Agogue has a feature called Geo-fencing which enables the owner /proprietor of the vehicle to geo-fence the area of operation as desired by him. Any violation is immediately reflected on the monitoring screen as an alert with necessary audio and visual pop-ups. A further security feature can also be incorporated wherein the unit after giving the driver ample audio indication of the violation would immobilize the vehicle gradually to be mobilized by the owner/proprietor.. -
Can the VTS give me a visual presentation of the total trip executed by the vehicle each day?
Yes the Smart Track VTS designed and developed by Agogue has a unique feature called the vehicle route tracking wherein the exact route taken by the vehicle for the day can be traced and also be converted into excel format for record purposes. -
